Business Value
How FileRanger WorksThere are four key components that work together: FileRanger Server
FileRanger Server enables the capturing and management of report and Business Activity usage. Data capture can be performed daily or on a more regular basis.
![]() FileRanger Object ManagerFileRanger Object Manager is used to build a library of objects. Once the library is in place, objects are categorised for reporting purposes, for instance, objects can be grouped by functional group, type or style and reported on by group.
![]() FileRanger User ManagerFileRanger User Manager module is used to build a library of users. As with the Object Manager, these users can be categorised to assist in the reporting of usage.
![]() FileRanger Analysis and ReportingFileRanger Analysis provides a portfolio of reports to help analyse object usage. These can be tailored to suit a vast array of user requirements or new reports can be built of the simple to read database. Once installed, object usage can immediately be analysed. Below are some examples of the various views that can be reported. Object Analysis Reporting Solutions often have hundreds of reports spread across many different areas of a business. Using FileRanger organisations can group these reports logically e.g. Sales, General Ledger, Inventory and then focus on their utilisation one at a time. ![]() User Analysis Reporting solutions often have many users spread across the country or even globally. However, even in situations where all users are in a single office, it is often difficult to ascertain Business Activity of the reports. FileRanger can immediately provide detailed information of users and their system usage. In the example below it is possible to track each state and how many users have access and utilise Reporting Services. It is then possible to drill on a state and list the individual users that have access. ![]() |
